When you start worrying about something after coming to Japan, it can feel as though the problem is bound up with Japan — its society, its culture, its people. And sometimes it is. But after talking with the therapist for a while, you may find that the problem has older roots: something that began before you ever left your own country.
This is a place where you and the therapist can talk about that, slowly, quietly, and steadily. It is not a place for quick solutions or ready-made answers. It is a place you come to regularly — where, at the same appointed time, the therapist is always there, waiting for you.
If you have long hoped that someone would truly listen, and that person has never quite appeared, perhaps you might come here.
I am not a native English speaker, and I have not lived abroad. I see this not as something to apologize for, but as part of how we will work: I will not assume I already understand your world. What is obvious to you may be unknown to me, and so we explore it together — finding what we share, and taking seriously what is different. The point is not for me to have the answers, but for us to come to understand something that, until now, neither of us has seen.
If you are curious to discover some part of yourself that you do not yet know, you are welcome here.
Sessions are conducted in English.
In-person sessions are available at the office in Shijō-Ōmiya, Kyoto.
Online sessions are also available.
